OMICRON NEWS & VIEWS
OMICRON IS OFFICIALLY RE-CHARTERED

It is with great pleasure that now the news can be shared...PiKA will be re-chartered at the University of Richmond!

President Hallock called the Board himself to tell us the great news.  This accomplishment is due to the hard work of many Omicron alumni over the past 8+ years, including the current OAA (Omicron Alumni Association Board) and Pi Kappa Alpha National.

The process will start during the Spring semester of 2023 and will be headed by a team from the National Fraternity.  There are already 17 students interested in joining the re-founding of Omicron with many more to follow.  A permanent lodge has not yet been determined, but we will have a NEW HOME SOON!  While National will be responsible for building the new Brotherhood, the OAA will play a key role in the future as the evolution of the new Omicron continues.

PiKA,...The Best on Fraternity Row...AGAIN!

OUR FIRST FORMAL MEETING WITH PIKE NATIONAL

February 26, 2019

The journey back to campus started almost four years ago when National agreed to meet with our alumni brothers at a casual lunch on campus.

We found out how long the process was and what might be involved.  It is hard to believe that we are actually going to cross the finish line.

PIKE NATIONAL ENGAGES THE UNIVERSITY STUDENT INVOLVEMENT TEAM

February 26, 2019

The first meeting to fully engage all parties included Pike National, representatives from the University of Richmond and Omicron Alumni.  They met at Lemaire in the Jefferson Hotel for the first time to discuss a possible return of Omicron to the campus of the University.  Whit Day, Chuck Saunders, Jim Housman, Larry Terry and Jan Ennis represented our alumni group at this all important first meeting.

FROM IDEA TO REALITY: THE EVOLUTION OF PI KAPPA ALPHA ALUMNI ASSOCIATION

January 2014...when it all began, AGAIN!

On a cold January night in 2014, Dan Rucker pulled 20 plus brothers together for a gathering that had not happened in 30 plus years.  From that night, plans to create a formal Alumni Association in conjunction with the National fraternity were put into motion.  The primary goal has been to reunite all Pika graduates in ways that promote the brotherhood bonds established during our years at U of R.  If we are lucky, we may even find a way to get our fraternity back on campus, to once again be..."the BEST on fraternity row"!
